GMF is a Non-Political, Non-Profit seeking, Non-governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2001 in accordance with the laws in Puntland State, Somalia. The GMF founded the Galkayo Medical Center (GMC) as the platform upon which to deliver healthcare services to the people of Somalia.
The overriding mission is to provide free medical services to the displaced, poor and disenfranchised communities in Puntland and Central Somalia.
The Galkayo Medical Centre is the first multi-specialty hospital in Galkayo, Somalia with 150 bed multi-disciplinary specialty hospital in Somalia .One of the Premier Health care service provider in Somalia through the combined efforts of the excellent team of doctors from various specialized fields.
It is the aim of the management to make the hospital complete in all respects to provide quality health self sufficient in health care

We are a humanitarian organization in Galkayo, Puntland, Somalia. Our main focus is to provide medical, psychiatric and social care for mentally ill patients for Mudug region and the whole of Puntland region in general.
